Golden Dawn is a system of high magic that was originally created by S.L. Macgregor Mathers and Dr. William Wynn Westcott in England.  This system of magic is a synthesis of three great esoteric religions of the West.  These being the Egyptian religion which is a mystic religion on its own, Judaic mysticism in the form of Kabalah, and Christian mysticism in the form of Rosicrucianism.

    When these three great systems are studied together as a whole it becomes evident that there is a strong connection between them and you begin to see things from a perspective that you never saw before.

    It is important to keep in mind what is meant by the term magic.  In reference to Golden Dawn this type of magic does not refer to the casting of spells or anything of this kind of nature.  The magic involved in Golden Dawn is the same kind of magic that was employed in alchemy.  It's purpose is to take the base man or woman and transform him or her into spiritual gold by establishing a direct connection to the divine.  This was the true purpose of alchemy in the Middle Ages and it is also the purpose behind Golden Dawn.

    This site is intended as a research tool and such being the case will probably hold little entertainment value to most.  Unless the study of Philosophy, Religion, Spirituality and the quest to understand the universe is where you get your kicks.
